War in the Pacific

Both of my books (see url's) have been about my experiences during WWII in the Pacific.

Have just returned from one of my battle sites, 66 years later, because Red Beach, where I saw scores of my countrymen die under Japanese gunfire, is now covered with piles of garbage. Tired of trying to get our govt to take needed action, I decided to go there myself, with a camera crew to film a documentary, "Return to Bloody Tarawa--America's Shame."

It's being edited by an Emmy award winner, Jay Miracle, with some hopes that the final version of the documentary will be picked up by one of the big "History" type channels. I have a distributor who wants to market it, provided I have a big name movie star or the like. I'm hoping that my book sales will pick up, and maybe speaking engagements also if I get any significant exposure.

Am writing another book, also about the Pacific War, this one with a surprising twist.
