Becoming "The One" While Writing...

Staying "The One" While Finding "The One"

My experience with self-publishing was a very positive experience. I have deliberated, as I am sure most authors do, as to this being the right route for me. At the time I published my first book: Becoming: "The One", I had been working for Tony Robbins, the motivational speaker. His personal assistant at the time recommended this route for me.

I use IUniverse, and had a pleasant experience. I found that they met the deadlines that they said they would. I was also fairly amazed, when I told them how I wanted the cover to look, and they nailed it.

Now, in learning more about the publishing industry, there is mixed information regarding self-publishing. I got both of my books picked up by an Australian publisher, and didn't listen to any of the nonsense. I believe that if you set your mind to something, and are dedicated, and do the work, you can make anything happen in life.

I have tremendous goals for this book, over the next few years. If you have a dream to become a writer, which most people do, I recommend getting your work out there.

Bonnie, you're absolutely right: Iuniverse nailed that cover. It's gorgeous.

What I'm hoping you can expand on is how you market your books! Judging from your website, the books are only one component of your business.
