Self Publishing Children's Books
Tricks of the trade for self publishing children's books The magic of reading begins with picture books. It's a genre that attracts both authors and artists. And it's an area I happen to know a little bit about. Self publishing appeals to the aspiring picture book author because - a book can be written relatively quickly, and
- traditional publishing usually means handing over control of the visual aspect of your book.
Whether you have an illustrator in mind, or whether you plan for that illustrator to be you, self publishing is the way to get it done. And there is at least one established way for authors to market kids' books... School visits. Below are the real life experiences of self published children's book authors. Here's your opportunity to learn from those who have been there. You'll read about successes and setbacks. Get some good ideas. Learn about pitfalls to be avoided.
