The magic of reading begins with picture books. It's a genre that attracts both authors and artists. And it's an area I happen to know a little bit about.

You won't find everything,
but when you do...wow!

  • a book can be written relatively quickly, and
  • traditional publishing usually means handing over control of the visual aspect of your book.

Whether you have an illustrator in mind, or whether you plan for that illustrator to be you, self publishing is the way to get it done. And there is at least one established way for authors to market kids' books...
