Ebook Publishing
The Future is Now
Ebook publishing: Self publishing's future looks like this If we've learned anything from the recording industry's travails, it's that the digital revolution is a game changer. How you adjust could determine whether you have a future in writing. | The links below lead to ebook "pitch pages." Many self publishers think only in terms of a hold-it-in-your-hands book. Others are publishing electronically in addition to their hard copy efforts. And some are publishing exclusively in digital form. It's tempting to publish in a form where profit margins can approach 100%! Of course, people ascribe less value to a book in electronic form. They know ebooks cost less to produce. They know they can't hold on to it. They expect it to be cheaper. And - at least when it comes to non-fiction - they wonder whether information of the same quality can't be gotten for free just by performing the correct Google search! That all makes ebook publishing a challenge. But not as much of a challenge as selling a book to someone who no longer reads them! An ebook publisher, I mean ebook self publisher, has an array of options open to him or her. You can host the book on your own site. You can self publish an ebook in Kindle form through Amazon or advertise it on your site and then sell it in pdf form through Clickbank. (Click to read our Clickbank page.) Each way has its merits and requires different things out of you. But there are two things all successful ebook publishing has in common... - You have to create a sense of value about your book
- You have to drive traffic to the page where people can buy it
