Neonoir Pulp Style Illustrator with Excellent Drawing and Paintings Skills
I am a classically trained realist artist who works in a figurative tradition. I'm actually a fine artist who has shown at Klaudia Marr Gallery in Santa Fe, Karen Jenkins Johnson and ArtHaus in San Francisco, and Dahlia Woods Gallery in Dallas Texas.
My work in general closely resembles a more finished and more narrative version of Edward Hopper's work. My images are very cinematic in color and lighting but have a more brushy textural feel.
I specialize in high contrasts of light and shadow with a strong emphasis on story telling and the portrayal of characters. I am very good with the human face and figure.
I have done several magazine covers and three Neonoir collections of stories. The two I am proudest of are:
"Bad Juju and other Tales of Madness and Mayhem," by Jonathan Woods and "21 Tales from the Modern Master of Noir" by Dave Zeltserman.
