Hello!

My name is Jillian and I'm a digital painter, I paint all my paintings in Adobe Photoshop on a wacom tablet.

I do mostly one time commissions, and sell pieces I painted in my own time, but I recently completed a series of illustrations for the children's book "In That Land There Are Giants", and absolutely loved it.

I hope to find more books I can illustrate.

I like to work with the author, I typically work by sketching out a particular scene in several ways, and letting the author choose which direction best captures the idea he/she wants to portray in the book. But I can, of course work with little to no direction and create a fantastic piece for your book based on the story alone. Though I prefer to work step by step with the author, letting the author help direct the direction of the paintings, letting the author's original vision come to life.

I am willing to do a small concept sketch for free of your main character or a scene in your book so you can see if I am the right artist for you.

I specialize in highly detailed realistic and fantastic images, but I'm capable of all genre, and most styles of 2d art. I can create in everything from oil painting, to digital painting to matte paintings to even photo manipulation. As realistic or cartoonish as you prefer.
