Visionary abstract artist

Greeting the dawn
My Style:
I am a visionary/abstract (not religious) artist
The media that I use:
I work in many traditional formats (oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil and pen) and often combine these, where needed, to perfect the artwork. I work on both paper, canvas and board. I sometimes use computers to modify the work, but overall I am a traditional artist and illustrator. I also have a background in design and technology and can use imaging software to produce artwork by acquiring royalty free images (from various sites), merging these into the desired image.
Collaborative style:
I work with the client to bring their landscape to fruition using dialogue and conversation. I do this by several methods
- By talking to the client (face to face if local)
- By SKYPE
- By email
I find that mutual ideas spring forth that create the unique landscape desired. The finished artwork may be computerised (photo's etc, or traditional artwork in various mediums)
How I audition for your business:
I know how difficult it is to get published, and my wife and I have currently published our first book. I therefore want to work with you as an artist to make your dream come true. You need top quality art at an affordable price.
I believe that a good working relationship is required to a successful working relationship. Give me a call and we can chat about your requirements. I will then produce some rough sketches and if you like them the we will proceed from there.
My experience:
Born in 1971, I have been drawing for most of my life. In fact drawing is one of my first memories. I use traditional art, technical drawing and computing and am capable of melding these technologies well for a finished product.
I have recently completed a set of drawings for a book going to print in October 2010 and can produce artwork for both the inside and the exterior of your book.
How I work:
Computer art: I talk to you first and after the initial sketches have taken place I obtain several images and combine them in an artful way to convey the concept of the book. Then I add the title, subtitle (if any), author?s name and anything else the author deems necessary.
Traditional: I talk to you first and after the initial sketches have taken place I get a feel for the book and the ideas conveyed. I then go about drawing, painting etc.
Please note that for any work I produce I hold all rights.
The authors have a lot of input and may suggest any changes they would like to see as we progress toward a final cover that we both feel would boost the sales of their books. It is a collaborative effort.
My fee:
I charge a competitive fee for book cover art because I believe that independent authors deserve a break when getting started in the world of publishing. My costs are based upon complexity of work and the desired result. This will obviously include paint, time etc.
